On this anniversary we somberly reflect and say a prayer for the 11 Eritrean citizens who were arrested 20 years ago for writing a letter to the PFDJ asking for political reforms. We respectfully and humbly ask President Isaias, in the spirit of the upcoming Meskel holiday, to release the G-15 prisoners and all political prisoners in Eritrea, including the Swedish-Eritrean journalist Dawit Isaak, who was arrested and imprisoned without a trial in 2001 for reporting for Setit newspaper, and Ciham Abu Ahmed, an Eritrean-American who has been under house arrest since she was 15 (in 2012) despite having committed no crime.
