TDF scores a major victory in South Tigray

TDF scored a major victory in the Raya Kobo area totally obliterating all ENDF units engaged during the last couple of days at that front. Four full divisions plus other special units of ENDF were involved.
It is to be recalled the current chief of staff G. BIRHANU Jula (then corporal) and the current commander of all mechanized units, M.G. YALEMSHET Degife (then lieutenant) were captured as POWs fighting on Derg's at the hands of TPLF forces in 1990 in this same exact front.
